Our Class was tasked with the objective to create a sculpture larger than two feet wide and four feet tall. Prior to the task, the teacher asked us to think of around twenty objects/symbols in our lives that were important to us. They could be actual object, with stories behind them, or simply a type of object or simple symbol that we relate to. Among my list of objects and symbols, were the Scottish thistle(representing my family heritage and pride), my grandfather's guitar, the cross, and a key that my girlfriend gave to me. From these objects I drew inspiration and in relation, created this sculpture at about two and half feet wide and about four feet high.
This piece means to represent a quick glance over part of my life up until this point. I will let you as the viewer, interpret the rest from there.
If you have questions about any of my pieces please email me.
